Dr. N. T. Perera is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of  Chemistry, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She obtained her B.Sc. from the University of Colombo, and her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, USA.

Her research interests include the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of inorganic complexes of biomedical relevance; development of rhenium tricarbonyl complexes as biological  imaging agents.
